High Planes is a band that plays a messy blend of sad folk, country, bluegrass & blues. They recently released a new full-length album 'Ghost Town' which Motif Magazine stated features "Everly-style close harmonies, reminiscent of the Civil Wars or RI’s own Brown Bird." As a singer/songwriter, Ben Shaw digs into the uniqueness of American music. Having spent time studying and performing a range of music has given Shaw access to wide array of textures and styles, but with a sound that remains firmly planted in the singer/songwriter tradition. This event will take place at a private residence in RI's Blackstone Valley about 15 minutes from Providence.
